A Thrilling Ride in Ilocos Norte, Philippines

What is one of the things you’d like to see and do in Dubai? Skydiving? Buy Gold? Culture? Temples? Riding Camels? For me, it’s the 4×4 desert ride!

Good news! You don’t have to apply for a visa and buy a plane ticket if you’re here in the Philippines. It is just one ride away! You can experience Sand Dunes in Ilocos Norte, Philippines!

Sand Dunes

Sand Dunes is a 4×4 ride in the desert. While in Dubai it is in an enclosed ride, this one you’ll have fresh air, plus a little bit of sand in your face and did I mention that you’ll be standing? Don’t worry it wouldn’t be dangerous because there are handlebars you can hold on to.  The drivers there are the best and they become your instant photographers too. Life is a roller coaster ride as they say, but this one literally is. It was so exhilarating and an experience you shouldn’t miss.

Sand Surfing

There’s more. Haha, You can also try Sand Surfing. It may seem dangerous if you see it from afar but if you look closer it is like a child’s play for adults. It is easy to ride plus it is so much fun. You just have to bring your courage with you. There are high slopes you want to try too if you’re up to it! You wouldn’t be able to mind the time while you’re there. Though the heat may be a challenge for you while going up and down the sands but besides that, it was amazing.

You have to be careful though, sands can slap you in the face during the ride so I will give you a few tips when you go there.

Few things to bring:

  1. Shades – the sun is up and you don’t want to be blinded by it. Winds are strong so the sands might go to your eyes. You can’t enjoy the ride with your eyes closed, can you?

  2. Jacket – It’s hot, I know. But protection to your skin is better than nothing, right?

  3. Rubber Shoes – during the sand surfing you might want to use rubber shoes instead of slippers coz you might hurt your feet if you stumble because of the straps.

  4. Extra Slippers – just in case your shoes couldn’t make it home.

  5. Water – you don’t want to pass out in the middle of this amazing experience right? Keep yourself hydrated.

  6. Camera – wouldn’t want to miss capturing memories right? Let your tour guides capture everything. They are amazing photographers, trust me.

  7. Energy – don’t be a bummer. Have lots of fun! Make lots of memories!
